Sandra Alexander entered the screen industry in 1983, working on feature films and high-end television drama. As production manager her projects include RETURN TO EDEN, THE LAST FRONTIER, HILLS END, SPIT MACPHEE, FRAUDS, LIFT OFF, SINGAPORE SLING, HOUSE GANG, SOFT FRUIT, AFTER THE RAIN and THE REDFERN STORY. As line producer, features include LIQUID BRIDGE, THE BET and SEPTEMBER. She undertook senior production roles on the ABC’s EAST OF EVERYTHING, and on the feature documentary TEA WITH MADAME CLOS. She was Tahiti production manager for Disney’s SOUTH PACIFIC, and in Australia production manager for ESPN (THE JUNCTION BOYS); and line producer for Granada UK (BLIND AMBITION; COLD FEET) and four episodes of the French-language FOUDRE. As a producer, she has been responsible for a wide variety of shorter projects. Sandra consults to Screen Australia, the Office for the Arts and Screen NSW on budgets and on incentives claims. She lectures at AFTRS and other Australian and international training bodies. She was co-ordinating editor of The Satchel - Production Management and Film Budgeting, the Australian industry's production bible, published by Screen Australia in 2008.
