We publish two long essays per year and host a public debate with the authors in March and June. A third issue of the New Platform Papers contains the talks from our annual authors’ convention, where we invite all our authors to come together to reflect on the current state of the arts. All three issues are published as a single paperback volume at the end of the year.

Two calls for proposals are issued, in October and May, for an essay up to 15,000 words. The chosen authors are announced in February and June. The flat fee of $14,250 is paid at a rate of 95c per word (excluding gst).
